About M&M Tattooing and Monica Barnes

At a time when female tattoo artists were hard to come by, Monica Barnes was becoming a force to be reckoned with in the tattooing community. Nearly 3 decades later M&M Tattooing is still thriving as one of the oldest shops in Chester County. With her passion still going strong, Monica still owns and runs M&M Tattooing with her husband John Barnes. Although retired from tattooing at M&M, Monica still puts time into her passion and giving back to the community by doing areola and permanent cosmetics tattooing for breast cancer patients at a number of hospitals in association with The Sauler Institute that is owned and run by her daughter Mandy Sauler.

A Little History

M&M Tattooing opened its doors in 1989 in the center of Downingtown, PA. In 1998 the shop picked up and moved to its current location on the corner of Lloyd Avenue and Business 30. In the years since, M&M Tattooing has stayed on the map by providing thousands of happy customers a clean and professional environment. While other shops may frown upon having children in the shop, M&M Tattooing has always been a family friendly environment.
